Daniela Roos-Hunziker – Violoncello

 

Daniela Hunziker, VioloncelloA native of the canton Aargau (Switzerland), Daniela Roos-Hunziker has impressed classical music audiences with her artistry while pursuing a busy solo and chamber music career in Switzerland and abroad: She not only performs on the modern cello, but also plays Baroque cello and viola da gamba. She has been a guest artist in performances at the Swiss Embassy in Berlin, the Beethoven Festival in Bonn, the Opera Festival in Avenches and at the Davos Festival. VioloncelloShe has also performed on various CD recordings and has been Artistic Director of the Aarau Concert Series "Sonaare — Konzerte für Entdecker" since 2014.

Daniela Roos-Hunziker is the cellist of Les3 and Duo Montana. She performs regularly as a member of Camerata Schweiz and is also a member of Camerata Cantabile and Sinfonietta Schaffhausen.

Daniela Roos-Hunziker majored in music performance at the Hochschule für Musik in Lucerne (Switzerland), studying there under Guido Schiefen and Marek Jerie (cello) as well as with Martin Zeller (Baroque cello and viola da gamba). She graduated with distinction, receiving a Master's degree in 2011. She has also participated in master classes given by Gerhart Darmstadt, Valentin Erben, Janos Starker, Mischa Strauss, Troels Svane, Wen-Sinn Yang and the Guarneri Trio Prague. Studies with Antonio Meneses and Claude Starck have also provided her with inspiration and valuable impetus.
